"Café Wall" Optical Illusion
The lines are straight and parrelel, this illusion -- aka the "Café Wall Illusion" , but appear to be "bent".
The Café Wall Illusion was discovered by Richard L. Gregory and Priscilla Heard in 1979. A collegue of Gregory's noticed the front of a local café covered with black and white ceramic tiles as can be seen in the illusion. And that is how this illusion got it's name.
