2 of a Kind Card Trick
Difficulty Level - Super Easy.
This is a good starter trick for kids or absolute beginners. These "super-easy" tricks might seem lame, but it's important to practice card handling and showmanship before you can start doing more advanced tricks. Good luck!
How the trick appears:
In this easy card trick, the magician picks out two cards, then he has a spectator cut the deck. The magician flips over the cards that he picked, then flips over two cards of the deck that was cut. The cards match.
How the trick works:
1. Shuffle the deck in front of your audience.
2. Tell them you will pick two cards. Go through the deck making sure you look at the bottom and the top cards of the deck.
3. Pick out a card that matches the bottom card. So, if the bottom card is the Three of Diamonds, you would pick out the Three of Hearts to match it. Do the same thing picking out a card that matches the top card of the deck. Put these two cards aside.
4. Ask the a member of the audience to cut the deck in half. Leaving the halves face down side by side.
5. Take the first card, the one on top of the original top of the deck, and flip it over. Then flip the bottom half of the deck over completely.
7. Flip over the cards you picked, and show the audience. They all match!
