Diamond to Heart Card Trick
Difficulity Level - Intermediate.
How the trick appears:
The magician holds the Ace of Diamonds, Clubs, and Spades spread out like a fan so that the audience can see them. You turn them face down, have someone tap them three times, turn them face up, and the Ace of Diamonds has now changed to the Ace of Hearts.
How the trick works:
1. You say (and it appears that) you are holding the Ace of Diamonds, but you
are really holding the Ace of Hearts. When you fan out the cards make sure
that the Ace of Hearts's center heart is upside down so the point of the heart
is up. Put it in the middle, but behind the other two cards. The other
two Aces are used to overlap it enough so only a red diamond shape shows
in its center. It will appear to be the Ace of Diamonds.
2. Turn the cards face down and have someone tap them three times. Lay the cards down, separately, one at a time, and it appears that the Ace of Diamonds has changed into the Ace of Hearts!.
Notes: Practice getting the Ace of Hearts into the fake Ace of Diamond position so that you can do it seamlessly in your performance.
