Card Through a Window
Difficulty Level - Intermediate.
How the trick appears:
The chosen card appears, stuck to a window after the magician throws the deck at a window. When the volunteer goes to peel off the card from the window, they see that the card is actually stuck on the outside of the window.
How it works:
Preparation: Get an exact duplicate of the card you want
to force. Attach one of these twin cards to the outside of a window using clear
double-sided tape. Find a good angle so that the card isn't conspicious
from where your audience will be facing.
1. Now, get your volunteer to "choose" a card. You must have them choose the
card who's twin is currently stuck to the window. Use what ever method you
are most comfortable to force this card. Read Card Forcing Methods for more
information.
2. Now force the card on them and have them place the card on top of the deck. Shuffle the cards, but secretly keep the top card on top.
3. Talk about anything to your audience as you shuffle the cards, this is a
distraction so it's not important what you talk about. Suddenly throw the
deck past the volunteer at the window. Be sure that you palm the top card
before you let go.
4. As the audience turns to watch the cards fly, slip the palmed card into your pocket.
5. Have your volunteer go get the card from the window to see if it is their card. (But, that won't be the only suprize) :)
