Relieving Tooth Pain

Tooth pain sucks. That's about all I can say about it. Here are some things that help relieve toothaches until you can get the problem taken care of by a dentist:

1. Gargle a mixture of salt and warm water.
2. Rubbing aspirin into your gums in NOT a good idea, it can cause a type of burn on your gums.
3. Gargle a shot of whisky. (rubbing a very small amount of whisky or rum is also great for teething babies, or for young adults' "teething" wisdom teeth.
4. Oil of cloves applied to the affected tooth. (available at pharmacies).
