Warts
Warts are the second most common skin problem besides acne.
They are just about as hard to treat as acne too, different treatments work for different people. If over-the-counter medicines don't work for you, you might want to try one of the following remedies:
- Increase your garlic and vitamin A intake.
- Keep the wart dry and covered with medical tape.
- Apply vitamin E directly to the wart.
My Experience with Warts:
My 3 year old had a stubborn wart on her
thumb. Over the counter medicines didn't do a thing for it. After a
month of trying to treat it, I decided to just let the wart be, and
see if it would disappear on it's own.
My 3 year old still had some of the "terrible twos" left in her and got into a bottle of blue "do it yourself refill" ink for computer printers. She decided to lay down in it. The ink covered half of her body. Honestly, it looked pretty cool. But, even after washing her in the tub she was a bit "stained" for a few days. The ink stained her wart more then the rest of her body. The wart seemed to react to the ink very fast, it look "dry" (and blue). The wart totally dried up with in a few days and disappeared.
I can't say if the ink really cause the cure of the wart or if it was just a coincidence. But, to me, it looked like the ink dried out the wart and thus cured it.
